Thoughts As Creator

As I consider the notion that thoughts create our reality, I am drawn to the various flashes over a day in my own mind.  I am glad that thoughts alone do not create reality, as I would be in a frightful place.  In fact I think the world would be.  I know what I sometimes think in a day, catching that subtle play of images and ideas that race across my screen.  And I assume that every human being on the planet has experienced at different times thoughts of an unsavoury nature as well as thoughts of great beauty.  Not everything we think upon manifests.  I do not ascribe to the notion that is our thoughts that are creating our world.

So what is the truth in the idea that thoughts are the power to create, change and evolve our lives.  It is not so much the thoughts we are having, rather it is the way we think.  Our thoughts and thinking are influenced from deep-set beliefs that shape our world.  The undercurrent of inner action and intent that is based upon notions, assumptions buried in the cave of our unconscious self.  The task in life is to uncover, to shed light into the dark recesses of our nature and discover where our focus is, what we are making important without even realising it.  The irony is that it is only a hairs breath away.  A whispering voice from within that we are not paying attention to.  Not consciously anyway.

As we uncover the structures that form our worldview we become attuned to the way we think and feel, and are able to question with open eyes our take on the world.  Not only that, we begin to recognise the power within these thoughts and instead of living from such compulsion, free ourselves to take on the sovereignty of soul and focus our attention on what we are truly passionate about.  It is not the thoughts, rather the way we think that makes the world how it is for us.

The other point I wish to raise is that whether you are here or not, the world will still exist, it will still give birth to itself with volcanic action, it will still have seasons and tides.  This is the world.  It is the way in which we interact with this force, and pick up the mantle of our own dance within it that we can concern our beings with.  A balance of both the inner and outer is the aim.  Our thoughts do not turn a page, yet we can decide which page to turn.
